HD Truly kicks butt
Oh and if you don't believe me check out these DOWNSAMPLED comparison shots.
Basically the guy took an HD feed then downsampled it to dvd resolutions, and compares them to the actual dvds. Imagine how pretty these would look at the full resolution.

That's pretty impressive. Now only if they had a real-time downsampler for HD signals so that I could get the HD signal and display it on my normal TV.

this should help you out. I'm not suggesting that you purchase this brand receiver, just letting you know that the product is available.
