Cell Phone

Over the last four months I have grown quite accustomed to having an office all to myself. Regardless, she's back. I guess it's not exactly her fault, but every time her phone goes off she's just left her office. I'm starting to suspect that she goes next door just to call her own cell phone.

The cars almost done.

So after a week of waiting for my back to get better I decided to screw it and started working on the car again yesterday. I only did a few light things, but I think it actually helped loosen up my back. Later that night while watching Stargate (of course), I tried stretching, and my back gave me a light crach. I feel tons better now. So I finished up the car this morning. Mike Shinzler and I got it running, and went for a drive. It looks as if the beautiful headers I bought off of flee-bay are hitting the steering shaft. This results in a horrendous amount of engine noise and vibration in the cockpit. So I'm going to pull the headers, and try to slightly squash the offending cylinder 3 exhaust tube. Wish me luck.

Worst week ever.

So I went to the doctor on Tuesday, after my last post. She basically said I tore/strained a muscle, or something like that. Honestly all I really remember understanding was the fact she said I'll get better with time. My back's still in a bit of pain, but not near as bad as Tuesday. However, it feels as if it's getting better, but in the wrong alignment. Almost as if my muscles are compensating for my spine being out of alignment. So that makes me really want to see a chiropracter. Unfortunately my insurance won't cover chiropractic, and I'm sure they'd rip me a new one.

On top of my back feeling like crap, I've had a really stressful week at work. I'm being made responsible for a piece of code I've never worked on before. That wouldn't be a big problem if the code was logically organized, and well documented. Unfortunately it's not, and it's making my life hell. I'm supposed to drop code on Tuesday, but I really doubt if that's going to happen.

Because of these first two things, I haven't touched my car since Monday, and that's really starting to frustrate me.

Dave.

Almost on a roll.

So yesterday, I put in the transmission fluid, the differential fluid (this came out as a thick black sludge), and the coolant. I also got a chance to put in the Center console. Unfortunately as I was filling up the coolant I noticed a leak from the front thermostat. Apparently it had slipped a bit when being installed (I know who you are!). Not a big deal. However fixing the thermostat required me to remove the intake crossover tube. So while it was off I decided to shine it up. Man what a difference. Take the lemons and make lemonade.

That's pretty much all I got done yesterday because I had a V-ball game at 9. During which I threw out my back. Basically I went up for a spike and land bad on the way back down. I felt a sharp shooting pain in my lower back, and now I can't stand up straight or lie flat. I didn't sleep much at all last night as a result. Sort of sucks, I'm so close to finishing the car, but most everything I have left to do is under the car. Now with my back the way it is, I don't know how much longer it's going to take to finish up these last few things.

The list of things is down to this.
Engine Oil + startup primer
Put on Hood
Put on Exhaust
Replace Fuel Filter
Drill out suspension bolt.
Install Replace Suspension brace.

I honestly half expected that I'd get the car apart, and never put it back together. Now that it's back together, I almost don't want to start it. I keep finding new things that I want to do to it. I don't want to start it, just to discover that I did something wrong. The way it is right now, I know it will start, but if I try I may discover that it's won't. Another part of me just wants to keep working on it, and never drive it.

Oh what the hell, I'll probably finish it up tonight (back and all), and be out on the road.

Long time

I haven't posted in a while, and that's ok.

I got the engine back last week. I've been working hard to put it together so I can put it in tomorrow night.

Broke up with the girl.

I'm going to take a break on the whole dating thing as long as the car's apart. I'm just not willing to put the time into a new relationship right now.

That's it. I'll post pics of the engine someday.
